CFD Team Leader / Sr. CFD Engineer / Competence Leader

• responsible for flow and thermal conditioning in modules of lithography machines, applying modelling techniques (StarCCM+/Fluent/Matlab) and Optimization tools (HEEDS)
• plan and execute detailed numerical analysis in order to drive new product designs, steer test planning and defining new product specifications and models validation

Team Leader

• responsible to address the needs of different business line projects, technically responsible for Flow Modelling team (>8 engineers), their Performance Evaluation, Project resources allocation and budget, strategic roadmap, technical orientation and Career Development
• critical analysis of design parts (NX experienced), considering thermal, flow efficiency
• experienced in close cooperation with multidisciplinary teams (mechanics, acoustics, optics)

Senior CFD Engineer:

• defining Way of working, reviewing reports, best practice guide lines, evaluating simulation performance on HPC, evaluating new methodology simulations, developing new models (highly experienced with STARCCM+)

Competence Leader:

• align the knowledge needed from different projects/departments, defining technology roadmaps, interface industry-university, bridging the financial funding from industry-university-government, ensure proper documentation knowledge transfer to inside of the organization, coach and supervise PhD and MSc students in their internship.

RESEARCH ENGINEER – THERMODYNAMIC EXPERT

• commercial compressors projects (refrigeration and heating), regarding efficiency improvement, reliability increase, new refrigerant evaluation and compressor-system optimization
• hands-on experience of prototyped and tested compressor for evaluating performance and reliability. Knowledge generation for new technologies
• planned and executed detailed compressor CFD analysis (FSI), Thermal Management Analysis (numerical analysis of compressor thermal profile), In-House Computational Software, EES and Matlab. Interface with multidisciplinary teams: aligning deliverables, efficiency targets and customer requirements
• trainer for the new thermodynamics’ analysts. I prepared an extensive didactic material showing the entire process of the thermo-flow dynamics project of the hermetic compressor

PRODUCT ENGINEER

I had experience in different sector of the company. In the cooking business, my main functions were: • Design of KitchenAid cooktop for North America Region market. • Numerical and experimental evaluation of the oven’s temperature distribution along the cavity and the heat insulation of the walls. • Evaluation of the grill and griddle plates temperature distribution and heating devices.

In the refrigeration business, I worked with different cooling technologies, as: • heat pipes application in order to eliminate air flow exchange between fridge compartment and freezer compartment; • frost formation study in order to evaluate the ice distribution on the fin-tube evaporator, refrigerator efficiency behavior, defrost time w.r.t amount of ice and new defrost technologies. • Reliability of refrigerators testing the system is extreme operational conditions, verifying his behavior and performance. • Designed, prototyped and tested household refrigeration systems and components. • Planned and executed detailed refrigeration system components experimental tests. • Numerical modeling thermodynamic process and system components.
